Tag 1: Arrival in the pulsating metropolis of Dar es Salaam - the start of a single trip full of new encounters in Tanzania

Your adventure begins in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's lively and vibrant metropolis on the coast of the Indian Ocean. This city, whose name means “House of Peace”, combines modernity and tradition in a fascinating way. You land at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), where you will feel the warm hospitality of Tanzania as soon as you are welcomed by your personal German-speaking guide from Ndoto Safari. Right from the start, together with the other travelers of the same age, you will experience the anticipation of a trip that not only offers breathtaking landscapes, but also the opportunity to meet exciting people.

After a warm welcome and a light refreshment, you will be transferred to the luxurious Sea Cliff Hotel, located on the cliffs of the Msasani Peninsula. From here you have a fantastic view of the vast Indian Ocean - the perfect backdrop to start your journey. The Sea Cliff Hotel not only offers you the highest level of comfort, but also many opportunities to get to know the other travelers through relaxed conversations. In the evening we meet as a group at the famous Coco Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Dar es Salaam. This shared excursion offers you the opportunity to get to know the other participants better in a relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular sunset. There's no better place to make your first connections than with a casual walk on the beach or a cool drink by the sea.

After this relaxed introduction, we immerse ourselves in the lively nightlife of Dar es Salaam. With the traditional PikiPikis (motorcycle taxis), which offer an authentic Tanzanian experience, we drive to one of the city's hottest restaurants, Samaki Samaki's Wavuvi Kempu, which is located right on the beach. Here we enjoy delicious cocktails and freshly prepared dishes together in a relaxed atmosphere. The evening is perfect for enjoying your first big meal together in a relaxed atmosphere and discussing your travel plans and previous impressions.

The evening's music comes from the popular rhythms of the Bongo Flava scene, a unique mix of hip-hop and traditional African beats. Tag 2: Historical Bagamoyo - Discover history together

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel in Dar es Salaam, your next adventure begins. Together you set off towards Bagamoyo, a historic coastal town only about 75 kilometers away. On the approximately two-hour drive you have the opportunity to observe Tanzanian life along the road and get to know each other further in a relaxed atmosphere. Bagamoyo is not only a popular destination for Dar es Salaam's city dwellers, but also a place full of history that you will discover together.

Bagamoyo, once an important trading center and terminus of large caravans, is now a fascinating place where you can immerse yourself in the history of the slave trade and the colonial era. The city was a key stop for European explorers such as David Livingstone, Henry Morton Stanley and Richard Burton. Today their historical sites are silent witnesses to this important era in Africa.

When you arrive in Bagamoyo, a guided tour awaits you where you will explore the city's most important sights together. From the Bagamoyo Museum, which explains the city's history and its role in the slave trade, to which Dr. Livingstone House to the Old Fort - the historical sites will give you an impressive insight into the importance of this city. The tour offers many opportunities for stimulating conversations within the group as you learn more about the history of Tanzania and Africa together.

For lunch you will stop at the Travelers Lodge, which is idyllically located in a palm garden directly on the beach. The park entrance is located not far from the camp. Established in 1964, Mikumi National Park is the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania. Often referred to as the "Little Serengeti of the South" due to its abundant wildlife, it offers a captivating glimpse into Tanzania's diverse fauna. Occasionally, you may even spot the rare African wild dog.

You travel through the heart of the park in an open safari vehicle, and it doesn’t take long before you encounter the first majestic animals. After breakfast we drive to the breathtaking Julius Nyerere National Park, one of the largest and most impressive wildlife reserves in the world. You will reach the national park in the late afternoon, where you will check in directly to your luxurious accommodation at Rufiji River Camp. From the terrace of your lodge you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Rufiji River, while hippos, crocodiles and other wild animals can be seen right on the banks.

Another highlight of the trip awaits you in the afternoon: an unforgettable boat safari on the majestic Rufiji River. Together with your small group, you will glide gently along the water while experiencing the rich wildlife up close. Crocodiles lie motionless on the bank and hippos frolic in the water - a sight that lets you feel the wild nature of Africa.
