After a hearty breakfast, which you can have in your room if you wish, with plenty of privacy, we drive to Tarangire National Park and will go on our first game drives there and experience another day of wildlife observation. Tarangire National Park is one of the most popular and beautiful national parks in Tanzania.
The heart of the park is the Tarangire River, which offers a picturesque backdrop and forms the landscape with swamps and extensive tree savannahs of the large park (2,600 square meters the size of Luxembourg). Tarangire National Park is known for its abundance of the typical and impressive African baobab trees (Adansonia) and for the dramatic interaction between predators and prey on the riverside watercourses of Tarangire National Park with its own small-scale migration of wildlife within the park.
Elephants, eland, oryx, lesser kudu and many other animal species can be observed in Tarangire National Park. Another special feature of the national park are the over 400 species of birds such as the widespread hornbill, partridges, pelicans, eagles, vultures and various species of herons. Due to the high animal population all year round, there are also a large number of lions here, which makes an encounter very likely.
We stay directly and close to nature in the Tarangire National Park in the wonderful Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge with its unique location and guarantee wildly romantic moments with spectacular sunsets in the African savannah. Meals (FB) and accommodation at Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge
After breakfast, another highlight of your safari tour awaits you, we drive with packed lunches from Tarangire National Park via the village of Mto Wa Mbu (means: The Mosquito River) where we will taste the unique “Red Bananas” with their sweet and delicate taste. We drive through Karatu into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and over the 600 meter high crater rim of the 1,700 high Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the eighth wonder of the world. We stop at the crater viewpoint and you can take a look inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a short photo stop at the tomb of the famous Professor Bernhard Grzimek and his son Michael. (Founder of the Frankfurt Zoo and savior of the Serengeti with the Oscar-winning film “The Serengeti must not die”). Enjoy the game drive on the way to your booked lodge.
We continue on the Ngorongoro crater rim through Maasai territory past the Olduvai Gorge “Cradle of Humanity” (visit optionally possible) to the Serengeti park entrance and will have lunch there in style. In order to spend a lot of time in the Serengeti observing various animals and extensive game drives, we will probably take our lunch with us as packed lunches for the next few days and eat it close to nature in the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti with its vast plains and constant migration of animals, this name inspires the imagination and invites the visitor to dream. Enjoy the game drive on the way to your booked lodge in the middle of the Serengeti and further days in the Serengeti National Park.

The legendary “Stone Town” was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. A walk is like a journey back in time to the world of the caliphs and sultans of the time who presented their wealth through the numerous typically decorated and hand-carved “Zanzibar doors”. Visit the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe) with its pale orange ramparts, built in 1698 by the Ottoman rulers.
A visit to the “Anglican Cathedral” will leave a lasting impression on you. On the site of the cathedral was the slave market where they were shipped to the Orient until it was banned in 1873. The moving slave memorial by the artist Clara Sornas and an interesting museum with an information board and historical photographs are reminders of the human trafficking of that time. Stroll through the Darajani market and watch the colorful hustle and bustle and stock up on exotic spices and the popular Zanzibar soaps.
Under no circumstances should you miss Beit el Ajaib also known as the “House of Wonders”. The multi-story building with its ornate balconies and graceful columns is the symbol of Stone Town. The Zanzibar doors are among the largest and most beautiful in East Africa. The House of Wonders was built in 1883 and got its name because it was the first house with running water and electricity, which was a "wonder" at the time.
There are many other sights to discover in Stone Town such as the museum palace on the harbor bay where the first Sultan of Zanzibar resided, the restored “Old Pharmacy” one of the most beautiful buildings in Zanzibar and the “Tippu Tip's House” from the legendary slave trader and much more other things worth seeing.
