You can look forward to animal observations with elephants, zebras, giraffes, warthogs (pumba) and various antelope species. Tarangire National Park is one of the most popular and beautiful national parks in Tanzania. The heart of the park is the Tarangire River, which also forms the landscape with swamps and extensive tree savannas of the large park (2,600 square meters the size of Luxembourg). Tarangire National Park is known for its abundance of the typical and impressive African baobab trees (Adansonia) and for the dramatic interaction between predators and prey on the riverside watercourses of Tarangire National Park with its own small-scale migration of wildlife within the park.

Elephants, eland, oryx, lesser kudu and many other animal species can be observed in Tarangire National Park. Another special feature of the national park are the tree-climbing pythons and the over 400 species of birds such as the widespread hornbill, partridges, pelicans, eagles, vultures and various species of herons. Due to the high animal population all year round, there are also a large number of lions here, which makes an encounter very likely. We spend the night directly and close to nature in the Tarangire National Park in the wonderful Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge with its unique location.
