Located just minutes from the park entrance, the enchanting safari-style Sangaiwe Tented Lodge is a gateway to one of Tanzania's most remarkable natural wonders - Tarangire National Park, also known as the "Land of the Giants". The park is famous for its large population of elephants, which wander majestically through the endless savannah, and for its impressive collection of baobab trees, which act like guardians of the landscape.
Tarangire National Park is not only home to one of East Africa's largest elephant populations, but also a variety of other fascinating species, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes and numerous bird species. During the guided safaris, our guests have the opportunity to observe these impressive animals in their natural habitat and experience the incomparable beauty and diversity of the African wilderness.
Sangaiwe Tented Lodge has 18 double tents, 2 family tents on raised wooden platforms. The comfortable safari-style tents are comfortably furnished and feature comfortable beds, a private bathroom and a private terrace from which guests can admire the majestic landscape. The view stretches across Lake Burunge to the distant Rift Valley, offering a backdrop that seems straight out of an African fairytale.
As well as offering its guests the highest level of comfort and service, the lodge also offers a wealth of activities, including guided safaris, allowing you to experience Tarangire National Park's rich wildlife up close. After an exciting day in the wilderness, guests can gather in the large thatched communal area or relax in the refreshing pool while taking in the spectacular views.
