The beautiful Seronera Mbugani Camp (Eco and Environment Camp) is one of the few camps and lodges run by local owners. The owner "Barnabas", who was born in Tanzania and belongs to the Masai tribe, started his training as a safari guide early on and, after years of experience, made his dream come true with the opening of the Mbugani Camp. Mbugani Camp is located in a unique landscape right in the central Serengeti near the Engare Nanyuki River.
The Seronera Airstrip is 15 minutes from the exceptional Seronera Mbugani Camp and 1 hour 30 minutes from the Naabi Hill Gate park entrance to the Serengeti National Park. The ecological and sustainable concept was successful and the Mbugani Migration Camp has now been opened. The Mbugani Migrations Camp is a so-called hiking camp, which are set up and dismantled approximately every 3 months to follow the migration of the animal herds to the different areas.
At Mbugani Camp you will experience “real Africa” after meeting the “Big Five” on a safari in the Serengeti. The camp is perfect for the encounter of big cats and various wild animals in the Central Serengeti. It has already happened that a pride of lions sleep in the middle of the camp. For this reason it is forbidden to leave the tent without a guide after sunset.
The Mbugani Camp also impresses with its great hospitality and the family atmosphere as well as the personal service.
Embedded in a unique location, a total of twelve classic safari tents surround the open fireplace near a tree that lions love to visit. There are also spacious family tents available. You sleep in the middle of nature and hear the sound of lions and hyenas and it is not uncommon for a water buffalo to graze on the side of your tent wall.
A unique and unforgettable experience with breathtaking nature awaits you.
Nothing is missing there! Ecology and the environment have top priority there. The camp pays attention to sustainability and has modern solar systems that provide permanent electricity and warm water.
The classic safari tents are slightly raised on a wooden plato and are equipped with large queen-size beds with bedside tables, shower and toilet, lounge area, clothes rack, luggage rack and other amenities. Enjoy the view from the terrace of your tent into the vastness of the Serengeti and watch the animals near the camp.
At the center of the camp is the cozy lounge with its authentic charisma, which people like to visit after a drink on the bush TV (open campfire) in order to exchange ideas about the safari experience.
A rich and balanced cuisine is served by the friendly and attentive staff in the typical safari-style dining tent
After an exciting safari in the Serengeti, guests can perhaps coax one of the countless stories around the open fire under the African sky "Barnabas".
