Tarangire Safari Lodge is 9 km from Tarangire Park Entrance. This traditional lodge was one of the first lodgings at the Tarangire National Park for safari tourists and was built in a unique location with spectacular views over the Tarangire River.
There are typical safari tents for guests, available as double, twin or triple rooms with thatched roofs and private bathrooms. Each tent has a comfortable porch for wildlife viewing. The safari tents have solar-heated showers and electricity is generated by generators and turned off overnight. If guests need electricity at night as well, this can be offered for a surcharge.
The five circular bungalows based on the traditional construction of the Maasai are very spacious and it can also be purchased family bungalows. The quaint bungalows with large beds are located slightly off the main building and close to a large waterhole and offer the opportunity to observe animals from the private terace.
The wonderful open-air dining room serves international and regional dishes, as well as fresh fruit and vegetable buffets. Tasty sundowners are mixed at the well-stocked bar with a large wine list and fresh Tanzanian coffee and tea is served for free in the lounge area.
